Dudley - Mr. Calvin Wynn, 88, passed on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Wayne UNC Health Care Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 12:00pm at Greater Guiding Star United Holy Church, 1114 S. Slocumb Street, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest at the Elmwood Cemetery, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a viewing held on Monday, February 14, 2022 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. He was born in Manhattan, New York on May 8, 1933 to the late Roy and Rosa Shephard Wynn. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Lorene whom he call his “Honey Bun,”; one son, Calvin Lamont Wynn; one daughter, Angela Wynn; special hearts: Martha Murphy, Aaliyah, Shaniqua Mathis, Skyy Allen and Zion Mathis; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Shephard; three brothers-in-law: William Braswell, James Braswell and Lorenzo Braswell (Hattie); two nieces: Wanda Wesley (Ricardo) and Stacey Shephard; three nephews: Jeffrey Braswell (Bernetta), Roderick Shephard (Cynthia) and Jermaine Shephard; one god brother, Andrew McKinnie; two god sisters: Elma Faye Young and Henretta Williams; god mother, Louise Newsome and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
