Goldsboro - Ms. Helen "Mae" Simms, 85, passed on Saturday, February, 26, 2022 at home surrounded by her family. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 2:00pm with a viewing from 1:00pm to 1:50pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Elmwood Cemetery, 900 W. Brick Street (Hwy 117 Bypass), Goldsboro, NC. Helen leaves to cherish her precious and loving memories, her children: Georgia Mae Achampong of the home, Donald Ray Simms (Carol) of Huntingdon, Tennessee, Patricia Ann Isler from Waldorf, Maryland, JoAnn Aldridge (Tony) of Lawton, Oklahoma, Holbert Earl Simms of Goldsboro, NC and Annette Smith of the home; 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Barbara Ann Silas of Dudley, NC, brother, Clarence (Butsy) Cox (Geraldine) of Winston-Salem, NC; Elaine Cox of Roanoke Rapids, NC; a special aunt, Margaret Williams of Benson, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
