So sorry to hear this,especially as I just lost my mother a couple weeks ago. I only met Miss Christine several months back through her niece, Magalene who is like a sister to me. Miss Christine had her cognitive issues but she was also sharp as a whip at times- making me laugh. You finally have peace & rest that you have earned. Many years ago Ms. Christineâs family and my family stayed within walking distance from each other. So basically we grew up together. Ms. Christine and Pearlie Mae would meet me and momma at Scottâs fish pond and sometimes Goodson pond. We loved to fish. I learned how to fish from all these ladies. If Pearlie Mae couldnât go fishing. I would pick Ms. Christine up and here we would go-Ms. Christine, momma and me. Sometimes about all day long. Those were the âgood ole daysâ. I remember trailing behind Ms. Christine through the bushes and grown vegetation to try and catch a fish. Ms. Christine wasnât afraid of snakes but I was. So I felt safe walking behind herâdefinitely not in front.𤣠I loved her red velvet cakes too. The last time I had a real conversation with her she said, âAll my friends are gone nowâ. That was many years ago. Rest now my fishing buddy. I believe youâve lived a good life. â¤ď¸
