Condolences to the family for the loss of a kind and loving soul. Silvia and I attended kindergarten, elementary and middle school together. Silvia was smart and a leader in school and our small community.

My sincere condolences and prayers of comfort to the Barnes Family. I met Mrs Barnes during an early tenure as a branch secretary. She was very kind. So knowledgeable and patient. I am so appreciative of the memories she has left.with me. RIH lady Sylvia Barnes 🕊 take your rest. You showed ❤️ and I love you back. God bless. For He heals the broken hearted.

You will be missed and I'll forever carry you in my heart. You took a chance on me and believed in me. Family, We want you to know we're holding you close in our hearts and sharing in your grief. Sylvia was special. Spending time with her was always a joy and a privilege. Her passion for equality and justice inspired us to join the NAACP many years ago. She was truly a 'gentle giant' in the civil rights world.
May each of you find God's peace and comfort in the love that surrounds you durng this season of profound loss.
With Love and Sympathy,
