The funeral will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 11:00am from the Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, 4460 U.S. 13 Goldsboro, NC with Dr. Larry Johnson officiating. Her final resting place will be at Wayne Memorial Park. Alethia is survived by her only son Willie James Lewis; six grandchildren: Corey Ricardo Lewis Sr. of Brooklyn, NY; James Perry Black, Fredricksburg, VA; Timothy James Lewis of Goldsboro, NC; Keith Jerome Lewis of Queens, NY; Kevin Tyrone Lewis of Queens, NY; Alicia Faye Suggs, Brooklyn, NY; Kimberly Brown of Queens, NY; and Karla Chevelle Lewis of Tampa, FL; Jerome Black, Atlanta, GA, 19 great-grandchildren and 14 great, great-grandchildren.
