Mr. Alfonza Lewis' Obituary
Goldsboro - Mr. Alfonza Lewis, 89 of 4151 US Hwy 70 E., passed unexpectedly on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at the Brian Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 11:00am at Woods Chapel United American Free Will Baptist Church, 928 New Hope Road, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest at the Wilson Cemetery, Wood Peck Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a visitation held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm with the family arriving to receive friends from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home, Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
He was born on July 1, 1929 in Wayne County, NC. He is lovely survived by two sons: Murle Reese Lewis (Bertha) and Rene Lewis; two grandchildren: Duane D. Lewis and Sadarria Lewis; one great granddaughter, Kayla Jones; one sister, Annie Lewis McLaurin and one brother, William Worrell Jr.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hadessa Durham Lewis.
