Goldsboro - Ms. Alice Irene "Weenee" Davis, 76, passed on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 12:00pm at Mt. Zion Church Ministries, 323 Whitfield Drive, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at Wayne Memorial Park North, 1191 Old Grantham Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a visitation held on Monday, November 2, 2015 from 1:00pm until 7:00pm with the family arriving to receive friends from 6:00pm until 7:00pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
She was born on May 28, 1939 in Wayne County, NC to John Henry Hamm and Mary Sauls Hamm. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Davis and husband, Carl of NC; her son, James Arthur Davis Jr. and wife, Kiscegdia of NC; five grandchildren: Brandon Davis of NY, Sharonda Davis of Goldsboro NC, Marqual Vaughn of NC, Khayla Davis of NC and Faith Davis of NC; two great grandchildren: Ayanna Davis of Goldsboro, NC and Jaylen Davis of Goldsboro, NC; two sisters: Bernice Applewhite of Goldsboro, NC and Mollie Ann Chavis of Creedmoor, NC; uncle, Eddie Sauls Jr. and wife, Shirley of Goldsboro, NC; two aunts: Ossie Bell Sloan of Goldsboro, NC and Fannie Mae Williams of Kinston, NC.
