Goldsboro - Mr. Alton Jericho Best, 62, passed on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. The celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 2:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations. He will be laid to rest at the Best Cemetery, Tommy's Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a visitation held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm with the family arriving to receive friends from 6:00pm until 7:00pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
He was born in Wayne County, NC to Doc Herman Best and Luberta Smith Best. He is survived by two daughters: Ashley Best and Tomeshia Artis and one son, Antwain Best.

The family is receiving friends at the home of his brother, Lynn Best, 631 Isler Street, Goldsboro, NC, where they will also assemble in preparation of the funeral procession at 12:45pm.
