Goldsboro Mr. Alton Leevon Fields Jr., 35 of 1207 S. Best Street, passed on Tuesday morning, October 15, 2013 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. The celebration of his life will be held on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 11:00 am at Pentecostal Holy Church, 600 E. Pine Street, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest in the Resthaven at Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Dudley, NC. There will be a viewing held on Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations. Alton Leevon Fields Jr. known to many as "Jerzey," was born March 11, 1978 in Elizabeth, New Jersey (Jerzey) to Elizabeth I. Gray and Alton Leevon Fields Sr. He was educated in the Roselle Public School System, until moving to Goldsboro, NC in 1997. He leaves to cherish fond memories with: his mother: Prophetess Elizabeth Gray; maternal grandmother: Prophetess Mamie Hughes; his daughter: Taliyah Anderson; two sons: Minleek Anderson and Jakai Anderson of Goldsboro, NC; four sisters; Rashea Fields Etheridge (Sakima), Nicole Gray, Natasha Gray and Latisha Robinson; a special friend: Ebonie Anderson; A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jerzey enjoyed playing basketball, playing video games, watching ESPN and spending time with his kids. He worked as a roofer for a time with his cousin. He also enjoyed children, making people laugh and music. His favorite saying, "Know Your Role!" Professional, sympathetic, dignified and compassionate care and service has been entrusted to J.B.
