La Grange - Mr. Amaziah Lewis Jr., 66 of 4042 County Line Road, passed on Monday, May 4, 2015 at NC Memorial Hospital, Chapel Hill, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at 12:00pm at Marantha 7th Day Adventist Church, 212 Oak Street, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery, 201 N. Forbes Street, La Grange, NC. There will be visitation held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 from 2:00pm until 7:00pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, Goldsboro, NC.
He was born on April 8, 1949 in Wayne County, NC to Amaziah Lewis Sr. and Sevelia Jackson Lewis. He is survived by his wife, Fannie Graham Lewis; three sons: Sherwood Lewis, Brian Taylor and Timothy Lewis; one brother, John Earl Lewis; four sisters: Luejean Wright, Varah Loftin, Teresa Artis and Frances Wright and seven grandchildren.
