Annia Mae Broadhurst's Obituary
Indian Springs - Mrs. Annia Mae Broadhurst, 81, passed on Wednesday morning, June 4, 2014 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at at 1:00pm at the Best Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 193 Sand Pit Road, Seven Springs, NC, with the Elder Aaron Lee Jarman and the Reverend Clifton Jones Sr. will be presiding. Burial will be in the Broadhurst Family Cemetery, 3377 Indian Springs Rd., Seven Springs, NC. There will be a public visitation held at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations on Saturday, June 7, 2014 from 1:00pm until 4:00pm. She was born August 16, 1932 in Lenoir County to Callie Jones. She was an active member of the Best Chapel Usher board, until her health prevented her from doing so. She was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Johnnie Lee Broadhurst; daughter, Mary Diana Broadhurst; grandson, Nathaniel Broadhurst Jr. and one great-granddaughter. She is survived by two daughters: Johnnie Denise Dyson (Willie) and Nina Parker Johnson (James) both of Dudley, NC; two sons: Nathaniel Broadhurst Sr. (Donnie) of Dudley, NC and James Earl Broadhurst Sr. of Goldsboro, NC; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great great-granddaughter; two former daughter-in-laws: Patricia Sutton and Nanette Broadhurst, several adopted children, including 1 special daughter, Patrisia Underdue, and a host of cousins and friends.
