Mt. Olive - Ms. Annie Lucille Oates, 84 of 101A Johnson Ct., passed on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Wayne UNC Health Care, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 2:00pm at Mt. Gilead Missionary Baptist Church, 2591 Beautancus Road, Mt. Olive, NC with Reverend Roosevelt Herring officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Wynn Memorial Gardens, East James Street Ext., Mr. Olive, NC. There will be a wake held on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at Gospel Revival Uplift Ministries, 120 E. Hillsboro Street, Mt. Olive, NC.
She was born on April 20, 1933 in Duplin County, NC to Wilson and Maggie B. Leach Wells. She is survived by three daughters: Mary Oates (Gary) McLaurin, Delphine (Russell) Gray and Diann Chestnutt all of Mt. Olive, NC; eight sons: Robert (Kaye) Oates, Willie Bell, James Bell, Allen Bell, Mark Bell, Angelo (Jackie) Bell, Danny (Lori) Bell and Wilbert (Jackie) Bell all of Mt. Olive, NC; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; great grandchildren; four sisters: Sarah Neal, Maggie J. Wells, Shirley (Luther) Perkins and Elder Vickie (Elder Anthony) Flow all of Mt. Olive, NC; six brothers: John (Elizabeth) Wells, David (Jackie) Wells, Samuel (Cynthia) Wells and Joe (Betty Gray) Wells all of Mt. Olive, NC, Wilson Wells Jr. and Dallas (Sandy) Wells both of Norristown, PA and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
