Dudley- Ms. Annie Mildred Atkinson Ward, 77 of 635 Durham Lake Road, passed on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 1:00pm at St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church, 206 Pearson Street, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Old Mill Cemetery, 3718 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a viewing held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at the church.
She was born in Johnston County, NC to Luby Atkinson Sr. and Addie Cox Atkinson. She is survived by two children: Bryant “Bo” Ward,III and Shalita Ward; two grandchildren: Donja Ward and Nadera Ward; one great grand childson, Jasiah Ward; three sisters: Frances Shirley Moore of Richmond, VA, Lois Lewis(Emmeul) of Goldsboro, NC and Joyce Bragg of Jacksonville, NC and one brother, Luby Atkinson(Belinda) of Selma, NC.
