Ms. Arletha Dixon's Obituary
Ms. Arletha Dixon, 74, of Dudley, peacefully departed this life on Friday, May 15, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Arletha was a woman who deeply loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them. She found joy in traveling, creating memories with loved ones, and simply being surrounded by those she cared for most. Her warmth, strength, and presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Pauline Williams; her father, Milford Brown Sr.; her sister, Beatrice “Puddin” Artis; and her brother, Milford Brown Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving sons, Ricky Jackson and Derrick Jackson; her grandchildren, Nikki Dixon, Deshawn Evans, Kamryn Baker, and Amarah Jackson; and Breanna Steffenhagen, who held a special place in Arletha’s heart and was loved as family.
Arletha is also survived by her siblings, Sylvester Brown, Melvin Williams, Broady Williams Jr., Claudette Hocutt, and Doris Williams; her dear friends, Penny and Henry Durham, and Shannon Tanner; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever treasure her memory.
A Chapel Viewing will be held Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 2:00pm to 4:00pm at J.B Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro 27534, where family and friends are invited to gather, share memories and find comfort in one another's presence as they honor a loved one's life.
