Goldsboro - Mother Barbara Louise Carraway transitioned from earth to reward on Saturday April 17, 2021 at her home surround by family. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 12:00 noon at Greater St. John FWB Church, 613 Mitchell Road, Dudley, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 US Hwy 117 South, Dudley, NC. There will be a viewing held on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm with the family arriving to receive friend from 5:00pm to 6:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
She was born on November 18, 1935 in Greene County, NC to Issac Washington Sr. and Annie Mae Beston Washington. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, William E. Carraway of the home; her daughters: Mary Ann Artis of Marlo Heights, Maryland, Theresa Carraway Washington of the home and Wanda Carraway (Jonah)Williams of the home; eight (8) grandchildren: Termeria Caldwell of Washington, DC, Tobias Artis of Marlow Heights, Maryland, Sermone (Mike) Freeman of Goldsboro NC, Victoria Carraway of Goldsboro, NC, Durrell (Latesha) Washington of Greenville, NC, Tymyra (Andre) Screen of Goldsboro, NC, Duron Smith of Snow Hill NC and Leslie Isler of Washington, DC; four (4) great grand children: Anthony “Ant” Best of Goldsboro, Avariah “Monet” Bryant of Goldsboro, Duron “Karter” Smith of Goldsboro and O’Shai Caldwell of Washington DC; two sisters: Vivian Weldon of Washington DC and Edna Deleon of Oxen Hill, Md; one brother, Tommy Cole of Louisiana and a host of other loving relatives.
She was preceded in death by two daughters: Peggy Jean Carraway Sutton and Diane Carraway; one sister, Elnora Washington and brother, Issac Washington.
