Barbara Buffalo Moses' Obituary
Goldsboro - Barbara Ann Buffalo Moses, 69, peacefully transitioned from earth to glory on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. She was born in Wayne County on December 9, 1944, to the late Hilda Lewis Buffalo and Willie Buffalo, Sr. A homegoing celebration will be held Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 2:00 pm at New Stoney Hill Holy Church with Dr. Howard E. McNair, officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Old Mill Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Friday, March 7, 2014 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive. The family will be present to receive friends from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm and at other times at the home of her sister at 603 S. Andrews Avenue, where they will also assemble for the funeral procession. She is survived by three daughters; Tonya Buffalo of Atlanta, GA, Wanda B. Dixon of Alexandria, VA and Kimberly B. Middleton of Goldsboro; one son, Kelvin Buffalo of Goldsboro; one sister, Carolyn Jean Buffalo of Goldsboro; one brother, Willie (Janie) Buffalo of Philadelphia, PA; one uncle, Carl Buffalo of Edgewater, MD. Viewing will be held on Friday, March 7, 2014 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive.
