La Grange - Minister Beatrice B. Davis, 86, answered her Heavenly Fathers call on Thursday morning, October 17, 2024 at home. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday October 26, 2024 at 1:30pm at St. Delight United Holy Church, 976 La Grange Road, La Grange, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Old Mill Cemetery, 3718 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a viewing held on Friday, October 25, 2024 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
She was born on September 16, 1938 in Wayne County, NC to Helen Kornegay and Obediah Body. She is survived by her children: three daughters: Gloria Smith of Parkstown, Teresa (Rod) Herring of Pikeville, NC and Tonda (Sean) Hook of Stafford, Virginia; three sons: Oscar Davis Jr. and Tony Davis both of Goldsboro, NC and Darrell (Delia) Rouse of Raleigh, NC; 18 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; a sister, Lorraine Body Pluckett of Elizabeth , NJ and one brother, Donald Body of Elizabeth , NJ and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
