Ben Eddie Lewis' Obituary
Goldsboro Mr. Ben Lewis, 81 of 500 E. Elm Street, died Saturday morning, October 20, 2012 at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. The homegoing celebration will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 11:00am from the St. Mark Church of Christ DOC, 700 West Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC with Bishop Alton A. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Mill Cemetery, Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a visitation held on Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 2:00pm until 8:30pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations. The family will be present from 7:00pm until 8:30pm, during which time Masonic Rites will be held. The family is receiving friends at the home of his sister, Ms. Gertrude Daye, 521 Eason Street, Goldsboro, NC, where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral processional. Mr. Lewis was born on October 22, 1930 in Wayne County, North Carolina to the late Willie Lewis and Ruby Smith Lewis. He is survived by his wife, Ms. Edith Best Lewis of the home, a daughter and son; and many other loving relatives and friends. A professional, sympathetic and dignified service has been entrusted to J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
