Goldsboro - Mrs. Brenda J. Artis, 65, answered her Heavenly Fathers call on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at home. The celebration of her life will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 11:00am with a viewing from 10:00am to 10:45am at St. James Christian Church, 1739 M.L.K. Jr. Pkwy, Wilson, NC. She will be laid to rest at 2:00pm at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC.
She was born on April 5, 1958 in Pitt County, NC to Ernest L. Newton and Deloris W. Edwards Newton. She is survived by her husband, Amos Artis Jr.; children and other loving relatives and friends.
