Kinston - Mr. Burndell Smith, 79, passed on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held Sunday, December 19, 2021 at 1:00pm at Holly Grove Free Will Baptist Church, 3221 Kennedy Home Road, La Grange, NC. He will be laid to rest at the Alice G. Wright Cemetery, La Grange, NC. There will be a chapel viewing held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at Loftin Memorial-J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home, 106 N. East Street, Kinston, NC.
He was born on December 22, 1941 in Lenoir County, NC to Roscoe Smith and Cliffie Coples Smith.
Family and friends are being received at 1929 Welling Coples Street, Kinston, NC.
