Goldsboro - Ms. Carrie Mangum, 95, peacefully transitioned from labor to reward on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at home. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 11:00am in the J. Bernardo Rhodes Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 195 Kenansville Hwy, Warsaw, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Ed W. Monk Homeplace Cemetery, Magnolia, NC. There will be a viewing held on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm in the J. Bernardo Rhodes Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 195 Kenansville Hwy, Warsaw, NC.
She was born on April 8, 1928 in Duplin County, NC to William McKinley Monk and Mattie Southerland Monk. She is survived by her children; grandchildren and other loving relatives and friends.
