Goldsboro - Mr. Charlie "Boe" Dortch Swinson, 86 of 612 S. Claiborne Street, passed on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 11:00am at Goldsboro Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 1314 Ben Brewington Ct., Goldsboro, MC. He will be laid to rest at the Elmwood Cemetery, Hwy 117 Bypass, Goldsboro, NC with military honors. There will be a viewing held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 10:00am to 11:00am at the church.
He was born in Goldsboro, NC to Emmett and Sudie Johnson Swinson on August 1, 1931. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Mitchell Swinson and three daughters: Cecilia Williams, Marie O’Loughlin and Marcia (Thomas) Swinson-Vick; grandson, Paul O’Loughlin; brother, Emmett Morris Swinson, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
