Goldsboro - Ms. Christa Lamonica Evans, 44 of 1221 Franklin Street, passed on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at 11:00am at Bear Creek Association, 1800 S. Slocumb Street, Goldsboro, NC with Reverend Veronica J. Carmichael officiating. She will be laid to rest at Wayne Memorial Park, Dudley, NC. There will be a visitation held on Saturday, July 4, 2015 from 2:00pm until 7:00pm with the family arriving to receive friends from 6:00pm until 7:00pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
She was a graduate of Goldsboro High School class of 1989. She was employed by O’Berry Center over 13 years. She was also employed by Soft-T-Shop/Tastee Freeze on S. John Street for over 25 years. She was a member of St. James Church of Christ, 603 W Spruce Street, Goldsboro, NC.
She was born on March 19, 1971 in Wayne County, NC to Howard Evans and Lynette Exum Evans. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving mother, Lynette Exum Evans of Goldsboro, NC; one son, Ra’shard Evans of Ft. Riley, Kansas; two sisters: Alicia Wynn and Camilia Evans of Goldsboro, NC; five brothers: Howard Evans Jr., Reginald Evans and Corey Evans Sr. all of Goldsboro, NC, Marcus Evans of Ft. Bliss, TX and Brandon Evans of Dallas, TX.
The family will be receiving friends at 306 Duffy Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
