Goldsboro - Ms. Christine Wooten, 79, passed on Friday, March 4 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 12:00 Noon in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations. She will be laid to rest at Old Mill Cemetery, 3718 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a visitation held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm with the family present to receive friends from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm in the chapel.
She was born in Wayne County, NC to Leamon Wooten Sr. and Mattie Mae Summers Wooten. She is survived by one daughter, Debra L. Campbell of Los Angeles, CA; granddaughter, Terressa Jade Campbell of Los Angeles, CA; three sister: grace Sutton, Lucille Wooten and Pauline Wooten; one brother, Leamon Wooten Jr. and one brother-in-law, Ezekiel Sutton.
