Mr. Clarence Bertrand Leggett's Obituary
Clayton - Mr. Clarence B. "Jersey Cow" Leggett, 83, reported for his final mission on Saturday, February 25, 2023.
He was born in New Jersey to the late Robert Lee Leggett Sr and Mozzetta R. Leggett of Goldsboro, North Carolina. He leaves behind a host of brothers and sisters; his best friend of over 60 years, Luther Viens; his children, Tony O. Johnson of Florida, Tonia M. Alston of Copperas Cove, Texas, Rachella D. Leggett of Copperas Cove, Texas, Norma L. Leggett of Clayton, North Carolina, and Clarence B. Leggett of Pennsylvania; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and friends and family. He impacted many lives and will be missed by all.
He enlisted in the United States Army in 1957 and served two consecutive tours in Vietnam. He was awarded the bronze medal for his bravery and accomplishments. He retired from the military in 1984 with the rank of SFC and then married Jonell A. Leggett that year.
