California - Pastor Claretta Bryant Williams, 82, formerly of Goldsboro, passed on April 10, 2017. The celebration of her life will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 11:30am at White Oak Disciples Of Christ, 130 White Oak Street, Newton Grove, NC with Bishop Charles Williams officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Sand Hill State Veterans Cemetery, Ft. Bragg, NC at a later date. There will be a viewing held on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 10:30am until 11:30am at the church.
She was born on February 6, 1934 in Wayne County, NC to the late Deacon Monroe and Katie Graham Bryant. She is survived by by her two sons: Charles I. Williams and Roger M. Williams of Monterey, CA; one sister, Bishop Jacqueline A. Foye of Williamsville, NY, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles and a host of nieces, nephew, relatives and friends.
