Goldsboro - Mr. Clifton Bruce Gardner, 71 of 540 W. Hill Street, passed on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Wayne UNC Health Care, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 2:00pm in the J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. The family will have a private interment. There will be a viewing held on Thursday, June 8, 2017 from 11:00am until 2:00pm at the funeral home.
He was born on July 6, 1945 in Wayne County, NC to Penina Waters and Harold Gardner. He is survived by his wife, Irene Sutton Gardner of the home; his children: Ronnie Gene Gardner and Zoie Gardner (James Elwood) Smith; his siblings with their spouses: Irene & James Sutton, Nina & JP Jones, Lila Flowers (Balitmore MD), Avan Rouse, Geraldine & Jimmy Becton, Penina Whitfield and Donald Gardner.
