It is with sad and heavy hearts that the Staff & Management of J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, announces the passing of one of our own, Mr. Curtis W. Johnson Sr., 56, passed on Monday, March 25, 2019. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 11:00am at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1065 Tommys Road, Goldsboro, NC with Reverend Joe A. Jackson officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Wayne Memorial Park North, 1191 Old Grantham Road, Goldsboro, NC with military honors. He will lie in state in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC from 1:00pm to 5:00pm on Friday, March 29, 2019. There will be a church viewing from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, March 29, 2019 at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1065 Tommys Road, Goldsboro, NC.
He was born on May 1, 1962 in Wayne County, NC to James Earl and Maureen Moye Johnson. He is survived by his mother, Maureen M. Johnson; three children: Kimberly Johnson Thorbourne, Curtis W. Johnson Jr. and Marques Tremaine Johnson and two sisters: Karen King (Clifford) and Tracey Alston (Kevin).
