Daniel Cornelius Newton's Obituary
LaGrange Mr. Daniel Cornelius Newton, 49 of 204 Pioneer Drive, passed on Tuesday night, April 23, 2013 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 1:00pm at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 2506 New Hope Road, LaGrange, NC with Reverend Joseph A. Headen Jr. officiating. He will be laid to rest in Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 US Hwy 117, Dudley, NC. There will be a visitation held on Friday, April 26, 2013 in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations from 2:00pm until 8:00pm with the family present from 7:00pm until 8:00pm. Daniel was born on December 31, 1963 in Johnston County, NC. He attended Goldsboro High School and worked at O'Berry Center as a Healthcare Technician for many years. He is survived by his wife, Katiya L. Newton of the home, his children, Danyella Newton, Alexis Newton, Elisia Williams and Khalid Super, his parents, Hattie Hobbs and Dr. Billy Newton, sisters, Ramona Newton Owens and Patricia Newton, and two grandchildren.
