I'm just finding out about this I knew something wasn't right because I hadn't heard from him but now I know I am truly saddened by this.....he was the best friend a person could ask for the love we shared was so deep I am definitely hurt and shocked by this news and wish I could have been there for his final moments. I pray for his family but my heart is extremely broken and devastated I wish I could have a obituary of him because we shared so many memories throughout the years and I will always love you forever in my heart....I can't stop crying this hurts more than anyone could ever know....sleep in peace now there is no more pain sorrow or hurt!!! Family and Friends of David,

David and I were friends for 26 years and met at NC Wesleyan College. I am shocked and deeply saddened about this news. We physically reconnected after talking via phone and texting in May 2022. We talked for hours and hours. We were like brother and sister, and I loved him. He was a good person and thankfully he also had a close relationship with God. I am going to miss you David Michael. I gave him that middle name since he didn't have one and we would laugh every time I would say it. What a kind, smart, hard working, dedicated worker, person and friend who loved God. David always gave his all in anything he did. Rest my friend, rest. I pray peace, strength and comfort for his family.
