Goldsboro - Ms. Denise Elaine Lewis, 54 of 268 Wisteria Road, passed on Monday, June 20, 2016 at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 1:00pm at St. Mary Catholic Church, 1000 N. Jefferson Ave, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a viewing held on Friday, June 24, 2016 at the church from 12:00pm until 1:00pm.
She was born in Wayne County, NC on September 13, 1961 to Edward and Doretha W. Lewis. She is survived by her children: Derrick, Dorothea, Donella, Donald and Demetrius; her siblings: Dorothy, Donald, Edwin, Earl Lewis and Manual Newsome.
The family will be receiving friends at 307 Hunters Creek Dr. Services entrusted to J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home.
