Fremont - Mr. Devone Jones, 74 of 109 Ballance Road, passed on Friday evening, January 2, 2015 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The
celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at
11:00am at St. James Church of Christ, 514 Memorial Church Road,
Fremont, NC. He will be laid to rest in the Elmwood Cemetery, 303 E.
North Street, Fremont, NC. There will be a visitation held on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 6:00pm until 7:00pm at First Missionary Baptist Church, 410 S. Goldsboro
Street, Fremont, NC. Mr. Jones served actively as the Mayor of Fremont, until his health declined. He was born on October 7, 1940 in Wayne County to the late Henry and Doshie Jones. He is survived by his three children, Barbara Gibson, Ray Jones and Tony Jones, and three grandchildren: Tiffany Gibson, Bryson Gibson and Brittany Jones.
