Kinston - Ms. Dianne Solomon Briggs, 72 of 417 E. Blount Street, passed on Monday, January 11, 2016 at Signature HealthCARE of Kinston. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 12:00 Noon at the Church of Faith & Deliverance, 655 Sussex Street, Kinston, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Southview Cemetery, Old Asphalt Road, Kinston, NC. There will be a visitation held on Friday, January 15, 2016 from 3:00pm until 6:00pm in the Nannie D. Loftin Memorial Chapel at Loftin Memorial-J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home, 106 N. East Street, Kinston, NC.
She was born in Greene County, NC on May 21, 1943 to William A. Solomon and Alberta Coward Solomon. She is survived by three children: Evangelist Renee (Robert) Payton and Jacqueline Briggs both of Philadelphia, PA and Harvey Briggs Jr. of Kinston, NC; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters: Norma Faison and Vikie Perry both of Kinston, NC.
