Elder Donald Ray Kornegay's Obituary
Mt. Olive - Elder Donald R. Kornegay, 72, completed his earthly assignment on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Monday, April 22, 2024 at 12:00pm with a viewing from 11:00am to 11:45am at Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Association Headquarters, 1800 S. Slocumb Street, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest with full military honors at 2:00pm at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC.
He was born on October 15, 1951 in Wayne County, NC to David Paul Kornegay and Inez Blackman Kornegay. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Jewel Jones Kornegay; his children and other loving relatives and friends.
