Goldsboro Elder Donald Lee Mewborn, 47 of 1302 N. James Street, died Friday night, September 7, 2012 in Goldsboro. His homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 2:30pm at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 318 S. Denmark Street, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest in the Parrott Cemetery, Kinston, NC., with Bishop Robert Gorham of Wilson Chapel Church officiating and Pastor Winford Galmon presiding. A wake will be held on Friday, September 14, 2012 in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. from 7:00pm until 8:00pm. Elder Mewborn was born in Wayne County, NC on January 26, 1965 to Walter Lee Mewborn and Dorothy Whitfield. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Booker Mewborn and his mother, Dorothy L. Raye. The family is receiving friends at the home of his mother, 721 Oliver Street, Mt. Olive, NC and will also assemble here in preparation for the funeral procession.
