Goldsboro - Mr. Donald Edward Smith, 80 of 508 Weaver Drive, passed on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Wake Medical Center, Raleigh, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 1:00pm at Goldsboro Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 1314 Ben Brewington Court, Goldsboro, NC with Elder James A. Collins officiating. He will be laid to rest at Elmwood Cemetery, Hwy 117 Bypass, Goldsboro, NC with full military honors. There will be a visitation held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm with the family arriving to receive friends from 7:00pm until 8:00pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, Goldsboro, NC.
He was born on December 25, 1936 in Wayne County, NC to Claude and Luvenia Garrison Smith. He is survived by his children.
