Pikeville - Mrs. Doris P. Edwards, 85, transitioned on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at home. The celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at 11:00am on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at the Golden Gate Memorial Gardens, 4734 Highway 117 North, Pikeville, NC.
She was born on December 23, 1936 to John Perry and Laeula Harper Perry. She is survived by her son, Frank E. (Diana) Edwards Jr.; one sister, Delores Williams; sister-in-law, Novella Perry; son-in-law, Kenneth Sasser; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
