Goldsboro - Ms. Dorothy Louise Brunson Jones, 86, passed on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Willow Creek Nursing & Rehab Center, Goldsboro. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 2:00pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC with Elder Dr. Robert D. Hood officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Hooks Grove Church Cemetery, 290 Hooks Grove Church Rd, Pikeville, NC. There will be a viewing held on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm with the family present from 5:00pm to 6:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, Goldsboro, NC.
She was born on March 9, 1932 in Johnston County, NC to James and Elizabeth Atkinson Brunson. She is survived by her two daughters: Dorothy Washington of Sierra Vita, AZ and Deborah (Thomas Sr.) Uzzell of Goldsboro, NC; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
