Goldsboro - Ms. Dorothy Lee White Smith, 89 of 421 James White Court, passed on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at home surrounded by family. The celebration of her life will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 12:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Buckhorn Memorial Garden, Bryan Blvd, Goldsboro, NC. There will be viewing held on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at the funeral home.
She was born on April 13, 1928 in Wayne County, NC to James White and Lula Holloman White. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Dr. Brenda Joyce Smith of Cleveland, OH and Alan Curtis Smith (Cheryl) of Upper Marlboro, MD; her sister, Elizabeth Arrington of Goldsboro, NC; her brother, James “Coby” White, Jr. of Hampton, VA; one grandchild, Alan Curtis Smith, II; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Services of compassionate and distinguished class entrusted to J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremation of Goldsboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Shiloh Baptist Church, 1500 Ninth Street, NW. Washington DC in memory of Ms. Dorothy Lee White Smith.
