Goldsboro - Mr. Earl Wooten, 64 of 611 Park Ave., passed on Friday, August 1, 2014 at Kindred Hospital, Greensboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 11:00am at The Place of Refuge Ministries, 616 S. Slocumb Street, Goldsboro, NC with Pastor Greg Jones officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Davis Cemetery, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a viewing held on Friday, August 8, 2014 from 1:00pm until 8:30pm with the family present from 7:30pm until 8:30pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations. He was born on July 17, 1950 in Wayne County, NC to Johnnie Wooten Sr. and Dorothy Best Wooten. He is survived by, two daughters: Syreeta Hines Gibson (Robert) of the home and Therricka Lachelle Wooten, of Dudley, NC; two brothers: Jimmie Wooten (Yolanda) of Goldsboro, NC and Jerry Wooten (Carol) of Valrica, FL; three sisters: Mary Williams of Gaithersburg, MD, Doris Lewis of Paterson, NJ and Shirley Dickerson Jackson (Curt) of Morris Plains, NJ; one step daughter, Rhonda Ogala Newkirk; two step sons, Marcus Hines and Tim Lamont Hines; one grandson, Trey V on Hines; his special friend, Clara Hines of the home.
