The celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 11:00am with a viewing from 10:00am to 10:45am at Greater St. John FWB Church, 613 Mitchell Road, Dudley, NC. He will be laid to rest on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 12:00pm at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC.
He was born on April 1, 1948 to the late Clara Bell Pledger and Donzell Russell Sr.
