Smithfield - Mr. Edward E. Williams, 85, passed on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the Providence Assisted Living, Smithfield, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC.
He was born on August 2, 1936 in Johnston County, NC to John R. and Sarah Annie Lassiter Williams. He is survived by his wife, Alyce Ashe Williams; his brothers: Braxton (Winnie) Williams of Greensboro, NC, Harold (Elaine) Williams of Goldsboro, NC and Rufus (Christine) Williams of Raleigh, NC; a sister, Angenette Pierce of Durham, NC and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
