Goldsboro - Mrs. Eliza Smith Jones, 103, completed her earthly journey and took her eternal rest on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at UNC Wayne Healthcare, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 11:00am with a viewing from 10:00am to 10:50am at First African Baptist Church, 803 Harris Street, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Elmwood Cemetery, 900 W. Brick Street, Goldsboro, NC. The service will be live streamed on the First African Baptist Church Youtube page, https://www.youtube.com/@FABCGoldsboro/streams.
She was born on February 24, 1920 in Person County, NC to Howard B. Smith and Emma C. Hester Smith. She is survived by her children: Jeannette (Curtis) Inman and Robert (Marvelle) Jones.
