LaGrange - Mother Elizabeth Dawson Rhodes, 92 of 304 S. Center Street, passed on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017 at 11:00am at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church 209 S. Carey Street, La Grange, NC with Reverend Dr. Michael A. Johnson officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Fairview Cemetery, 201 N. Forbes Street, LaGrange, NC. There will be a viewing held on Thursdays, July 6, 2017 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
She was born on August 2, 1924 in Lenoir County, NC to Doll Dawson and Mary Joyner Dawson. She is survived by one sister, Emma Sutton; three daughters: Dr. Earnestine (Dr. Demark) McCloud, Alice Rose King and Julia (Willie) Kittrell; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great great grand baby.
