My condolences
She was always there for our family and we will be there for her family much love and may she Rest In Peace. From Edward Sutton and family from Dallas Texas
It is with heartfelt sympathy to learn of the passing of Mrs. Ella Mae Lawson. Our prayers go out to Vivian, Carolyn, Lottie and all family members.
I admired your Mom because she loved her children. On special occasions when we attended Holly Grove for Quarterly Meeting or Homecoming, Mrs.Ella Mae would be decked out with a new suit and hat. She would say I went to Maryland. We would smile because we both loved hats and our suits.
She was such a loving and caring person. She would always whisper at Quarterly Meeting, I made some collards, now tell them to give you some of my greens that I cooked.
We loved this family very much. Vivian and I were both Founding Members of the LFAFA DC Chapter, as well as members of the LFAFA Annual Association. We both joined the LFAFA DC Chapter in Washington, and served on various Committees over the years. Carolyn and I talked when the girls came home and brought their Mom to the various events. I would chat with Lottie as well. These young ladies were raised in Jesus. When our parents went to church, we went to church also. These girls loved their Mama and took great care of her. Some people will never know the sacrifices children make for thrie parents, as well as the sacrifices our parents made for us.. I know these children loved their Mom.
Unfortunately, with my husband's condition, we will be unable to travel. We will be sending a monetary contribution to the family.
Girls, your lives will never be the same. A Mother's love is very special and all you can do is just remember the beautiful memories and keep the faith.
Clifton and Margaret Davis and family love you guys and will be lifting you up, during and after everything is said and done in prayer.
There are no words to ease your sorrow, take it one day at a time in prayer with Jesus. If you must cry, please do and feel no shame!
We love you guys and are here if we can assist in any way.
Be blessed and hold onto your faith and strength. After everything is over, that is when you need that faith to get you through.
Praying for the family and always loving
Mrs. Ella Mae because she showed me love.
Be blessed and stay safe!
Love always,
Clifton and Margaret Davis, Jr.
