Goldsboro - Ms. Eloise Isler Battle, 89 of 309 Fussell Street, was called home by the Lord from labor to reward on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Wayne UNC Health Care, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11:00am at St. Mark Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, 700 W. Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC with Bishop Alton A. Smith officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Elmwood Cemetery, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a visitation held on Friday, May 11, 2018 from 2:00pm to 7:00pm with the family arriving to receive friends from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, Goldsboro, NC.
She was born on October 13, 1928 in Wayne County, NC to John William and Della Uzzell Isler. She was the wife of the late Henry Lee “Buck” Battle Sr. Eloise’s life joy was her children and grandchildren. She leaves a legacy of memories to be cherished by her four daughters: Dianne B. McKiver, Debra Battle, Heloise B. Wilkerson and Sharon Battle; two sons: Henry Lee Battle Jr. and Michael Battle all of Goldsboro; one sister, Della Isler McCullough and one brother, Wilbert Isler both of Goldsboro.
