Ms. Emma Stallings' Obituary
Goldsboro - Ms. Emma Stallings, 92 of 100 Littleton Pl, quietly passed on Thursday night, September 21, 2017 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1065 Tommy's Road, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Elmwood Cemetery, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a viewing held on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at J.B Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremation of Goldsboro.
She was born on January 15, 1925 to Johnnie Atkinson and Hettie Belle Coley. She is survived by her daughter, Alberta Ford of Fayetteville, NC; daughter-in-law, Doris Ford, widow of Raeford Ford; three grandchildren: Eric (Cyntrell) Mays of Houston, TX, Meghan M. (Treason) Scipio of San Antonio, TX and Brandon (Shanty) Artis of Snellsville, Ga; seven great grandchildren: Eric , II, Miles, Emerson LaForest, Evelyn, Marcus and Tariq; stepchildren: Bobby (Sharon) Stallings of Glassboro, NJ, Lula Rosetta (James) Hall, Larry (Fausta) Stallings and Shelton (Cynthia) Stallings all of Goldsboro, NC and Ronald (Jonise) Stallings of Aberdeen, MD; a special cousin, Edna C. Harrity of Clementon, NJ; dear friends: Gloria C. Smith and Marian D. Murray, and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was married to the late Oze Ford and later married to the late Robert Stallings. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three children: Rayford Ford, LaForest Ford Mays and Ozzie Ford Jr. and son-in-law, Moses E. Mays.
