Goldsboro- Ms. Emma Barnes Yates, peacefully transitioned from labor to reward Friday, October 13,2023 at Gentiva Hospice, surrounded by her loved ones. A Graveside service will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the Barnes Cemetery 1369 Tommys Road, Goldsboro, NC 27534 with a Chapel viewing Friday October 20, 2023 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.27534.
She was born December 6, 1938 in Wayne County, North Carolina to Mr. Royal Barnes and Mrs. Ada Whitley Barnes. She is survived by and leaves to cherish her memories, her children, grandchildren. nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
