Mr. Emmeul Lewis Sr.'s Obituary
Goldsboro - Mr. Emmeul Lewis Jr., 87, transitioned from labor to reward on Wednesday night, August 30, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. Please keep the Lewis-Rhodes Families in prayer as we prepare to lay the last of the patriarchs of our family to rest. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 3:30pm at the Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Association Headquarters, 1800 S. Slocumb Street, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a chapel viewing from 4:00pm to 6:00pm on Friday, September 8, 2023 at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. The family will not be present. He will be laid to rest at the Old Mill Cemetery, 3718 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, NC.
He was born on February 17, 1936 in Wayne County, NC to Tank Lewis and Georgia Smith Lewis. He is survived by his children: LaVerne (Wesley) Simmons of Charlotte, NC and Emmeul Lewis Jr. (Sherry) of Goldsboro, NC; nine grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.
