Goldsboro - Ms. Essie P. Jones, 84, completed her earthly journey on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 11:00am with a viewing from 10:00am to 10:45am at New Stoney Hill United Holy Church, 1003 Dr H. E. McNair Street, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Golden Gate Memorial Gardens, 4734 Highway 117 North, Pikeville, NC.
She was born on May 15, 1939 in Wayne County, NC to the late Maebell Wooten Lewis and Jack Leslie Lewis. She leaves to cherish her memories two children: Wilbert Allen Reid and Bernice Reid both of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Eric Reid, April Reid, Kori Reid; a great grandchild, Kameron Eli Reid and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
